Day 12
Saturday October 5
I took the morning off to catch up and rest up, having lunch at the AAR. The person on the left, Professor Joe Z from Cornell, who is staying in Rome for a month. Joe was the first person that Werner Seligman hired when he arrived at Syracuse, meaning Joe and i crossed paths 38 years ago. On the left is Reyonld Reynolds, an AAR Fellow in filmaking. Google him.
Fredye then arrived late that afternoon for her visit to Italy
We began with a tour of the AAR beginning with its vegatable gardens. Look at this bird on the faucet.......
Then a walk into the City, beginning with Trastevere of course

The next morning brought another walk into the city
Pasta being made

Coffee to drink at the sign of the Elk - on the floor of the cafe
and on the adjacent church

A small church and a talk with the Priest after Mass
Back to see Kyle's elephant
and some ruins in the center part of the city - three temples, round square and rectangular

To the Capitloline Hill and the Campidoglio
Where one can view the Forum, even though the Campidolgio turned its back on the Pagan past to focus on the new city and St Peters
